Derry food and drink is to become the centre of a new online show on RTE this month.

Celebrity chef and travel enthusiast Randy Lewis, who describes himself as the “Phileas Fogg of food”, has filmed a series of shows highlighting the quality and unique nature of the food and drink stories found in the walled city of Derry.

Randy’s LegenDerry Adventure, available to watch on RTE.ie from Tuesday November 2, will show him visiting some of the city’s finest food and drink producers before cooking up a feast.

In episode two of his LegenDerry adventure he started his day with a visit to a Craigbane Goat Farm in the Sperrin Mountains outside Derry City in some truly scenic countryside of green green pastures, run by Ryan and Feargal Mortimer.

These lads are full of enthusiasm and entrepreneurial spirit. It was great to see the process the milk goes through before delivery to Dart Mountain Farm, an 1800’s Farmhouse where Kevin and Julie Hickey produce some amazing cheese.
